5 Tips to Make this the Best November Ever for Your Business!

by Melanie Rembrandt, www.rembrandtwrites.com on November 1, 2013

P.S. Without costing you a dime!

November is here, and the end-of-the-year is right around the corner.

Are you happy with your 2013 so far?

Did you accomplish goals?

If not, there is no time like the present to change things around. Here are…

5 Tips to Make This the Best November Ever For Your Business!

1. Review 2013 Goals.

Look at what you have – and have not – accomplished yet. If there is something you still need to do, take the necessary actions to make it happen. If you don’t have any goals, how do you expect things to get better?

2. Attend a Networking Event.

Ugh! I know. For many of you this is like getting your teeth drilled at the dentist. Well, if you are in business, you need to deal with people. Period.

Find an event where you’ll feel comfortable, and just set a goal to meet one new person while you are there and exchange business cards. You can do that, right?

3. Look at Your Marketing Content.

When was the last time you looked at your Website, social media, articles, press releases, direct mail pieces, and other marketing content as a potential customer?

If it has been awhile, review what you are presenting and see if it is still working. Check your Google Analytics to see what is most popular, and keep your content updated with what your customers want.

4. Stop and Smell the Roses.

I’m not kidding here. There is a rose bush right outside of my office, and I always take a moment to smell the flowers when I go out the door. It makes me reflect on what’s really important in life and take a deep breathe. When was the last time you just stopped and took a breath?

5. Say “Thanks!”

If you are feeling badly about where you are right now in the calendar year, start thinking about all of the things you are thankful for. It will put you in a better mindset right away.

Then, share that “Thanksgiving” feeling with others. Spend some time thanking the people in your life every day. Even take a little extra time to send a handwritten note. People will appreciate your thoughtfulness, and you’ll feel better too!

Take Action to Make Changes By December 31st!

Year-end will be here soon… but instead of focusing on that, think about what you can do right now to make this the best month ever!

Review what’s going on with your business and develop goals with specific, action steps and deadlines. Try to meet new people and reach out to the ones you already know with a pleasant “Thank You.” And don’t forget to take some time to breathe and think about all of the things you are grateful for in life right now.

This way, you can have a great month, a fantastic year and a wonderful beginning to the New Year!

What are you going to do today to make positive changes happen?
