Thanks! – How Often Are You Using This Simple Word That Means So Much?

Take time to remember what’s important in life…

Say thank you! It’s Veterans Day, and with Thanksgiving coming up too, it’s the perfect time to say “Thanks.” While this word is very simple, it can mean a lot. Yes, many of us are swamped with year-end projects, holiday festivities and planning for 2016 right now. But when you get ready for your daily tasks, here are a few things to keep in mind…

  • Think about the people who have helped you get where you are today.

Take a moment to send a note (electronic or handwritten) to associates, co-workers, friends, family members, and more. Let them know you are thinking about them and just wanted to thank them for their help.

  • Touch base with people you haven’t talked to in months or years.

November is the perfect time to reach out to people you haven’t talked to in a long time. Beat the holiday rush and send a quick note to ask them what they are up to and how their families are doing.

  • Be thankful.

Our work and lives can get really stressful, especially during the holidays. That’s why it’s important to think of at least 10 things you are thankful for each day.

It’s easy to forget all of the positive things going on in your life when you are surrounded with negativity, deadlines, a packed calendar of activities, and more.

Time for Thanks!

This month, we will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. And although many of us look forward to a big meal and spending fun times with family and friends, it also reminds us to stop and reflect.

Who are you most thankful for in your life?

Why don’t you send them a quick note, or give them a call, and let them know! You’ll get a break from work and a little positive energy during this busy, holiday season.

And with that, I’d like to thank all of you for reading this blog! Happy Veterans Day!
