COVID-19 Positive Points!
The COVID-19 pandemic has definitely changed all of our lives in very different ways, very quickly! Unfortunately, this is not an April Fool’s joke!
If you still have your job with the COVID-19 pandemic going on, you probably have many new regulations in place to keep you, your associates and your customers safe.
If you work from home, you are dealing with a new schedule where you stay at home and have more calls, videos, webinars, and online options.
You may also have children, pets and other family members to care for at this time.
All of our travel plans, special school activities, spring events, and more have been cancelled.
On my end, I had to cancel my visit to see my mother in another state to make sure she’s o.k.
A friend had to cancel big honeymoon plans they’d been planning for years, and my relatives and friends are upset because their high school seniors can’t partake in year-end activities that only come once in a lifetime.
Worst of all, many of us know someone who is ill with COVID-19 or even passed away from the disease. My heart goes out to everyone who is dealing with this!
Things are crazy and a bit scary right now.
But you know what? We are all working together!
I’ve seen financial institutions loosen their payment deadlines, travel companies make extra efforts to help travelers, customers show more patience with limited supplies and store hours, and much more.
Fellow business owners are reducing their fees and reaching out to see how they can help others in need just to keep things moving forward.
Positive Things are Happening!
If you listen to the news all the time, you’ll see mostly death, destruction and negativity. But there are many positive things happening!
• Businesses are finding new ways to offer their services.
• Medical professionals are providing video appointments.
• Entrepreneurs are developing unique products and services to serve new wants and needs of customers.
• Grocery stores are restocking as quickly as they can. (Where is all the toilet paper?!)
Creativity is in the air!
For me, all of my neighbors are walking around the neighborhood to get some exercise, and I’m meeting people I didn’t know who live right next door! (with social distancing, of course!)
Don’t Despair!
While things may be pretty ugly right now, know that help is available.

Whether you need financial assistance, food and supplies or just want to talk to someone (especially if you don’t have friends or family members to turn to right now), look at local community centers, non-profit organizations, disaster services, other entrepreneurs, and more for assistance.
People are working together to get through this challenging period.
Know that we will get through this and happier and healthier times are ahead!
