Are These 3 Scary Things on Your Website?

It’s Halloween, and there is a lot of scary stuff out there. But you may be unaware of some things that are really frightening and happening right in your business.

For example, when was the last time you looked at your Website?

If you have been busy focusing on your core, business activities as an entrepreneur, months may have passed since you last reviewed your site. If this is the case, you may be losing sales without knowing it, and that is really scary!

To stop this from happening, look at your Website and ask yourself these questions:

  • How old is the data?

If you have old press releases, copyright dates and “news” posted, your site looks like a ghost town, and you are losing credibility. Update your site with current information so it looks like “someone is home” and that you provide the latest information possible to your customers.

  • Are all of your links working?

Why aren’t your landing-pages bringing in sales? Well, maybe the links you have going to them are not working! Be sure to check all of the links on your site to confirm they are working and go to the right locations. If a potential customer clicks on a link that isn’t working, you may lose a sale!

  • Is your grammer and speling corect?

This may be obvious, but if you don’t have good copy on your site that includes appropriate grammar and spelling, your business will look less professional. Go through your site and fix the errors. And if you aren’t a writer, hire a freelance copywriter to upgrade your site. After all, the money will be well spent with copy that is correct and actually brings in sales.

Don’t Let Your Site Spook Customers!

If you want to bring in more sales, don’t forget about your Website. It may be turning away potential customers as you read this!

Keep your site current with the latest news and information about your business, confirm all of your links work and review the content to make sure it is correct and provides valuable information. This way, you’ll give a credible, first-impression to potential, new customers. And they’ll be more likely to stay on your site to find out about your products and services.
