Is Something in the Air?
Geez. Is it just me, or have a lot of the people you’ve communicated with lately been grumpy and on edge?
From potential customers and business owners to fellow PR experts and even a massage therapist, I’ve been getting a lot of “tude” lately.
I know times are tough, but things are not going to get better if you project negatitivity. I don’t know about you, but there’s no way I’m going to work with people who have bad attitudes if it’s not necessary.
And it’s sad because some of these folks would have received some free publicity in my upcoming book. Others would have earned my trust as a new customer.
With this in mind, it is probably a good time to review how your employees are acting and check to see if your own personal issues are showing up in your work communications. After all, a simple remark can cost you sales and customer loyalty.
And it can be well worth it to improve customer relations. Just look at www.printingforless.com, www.gotobilling.com and www.athleta.com. They put great emphasis on making customers happy, and their strong testimonials build valuable, word-of-mouth buzz that simply can’t be purchased.
So is it just me, or are you hearing a lot of negativity too? Please let me know below. Or if you just have an SEO copywriting or PR questions, send it my way. I’m glad to help!
